Roe Valley Musicians and Arts Collective Needs You !
The former Roe Valley Musicians Collective is resurrecting itself as the Roe Valley Musicians/Arts collective. It aims to act as a focal point for supporting and facilitating new artistic endeavour in the Borough, in both music and the visual arts.
Using equipment from the original set-up, supplemented with new equipment thanks to recent funding from the Acorn Fund Legacy Grants Programme, the group has a functional rehearsal space for bands, which includes a good piano and drumkit, amps and mics. Bands simply turn up with their instruments and plug in!
The rehearsal space is hopefully just the beginning: the Acorn Grant has also funded recording facilities which will be functional in the near future. There really is a world of possibilities as to how this might develop.
All we need now is you!!!! We are looking for a team of volunteers to help us with the vision and development of this very exciting project. If you are interested in learning more about the collective, and how you can get involved, contact us at Limavady Volunteer Bureau :-
Or call into the LCDI offices at the old Roe Valley Hospital buildings.
